Summer 2026 Update

We decided to do a summer update only by email rather than post it on our website and/or an update video on YouTube. This email is available on-line if you have a link for it
In June, we spent over two weeks camping in Wisconsin visiting family and friends, sharing at Sanctuary Messianic, and keeping a rather busy schedule.
On June 27th Art was in Fond du lac for a men’s retreat and Deb was back at the camper. That morning Deb had a TIA (transient ischemic attack) which presents itself like a stroke. Fortunately, Deb was able to call her daughter nearby, an ambulance was called and Deb was taken to the hospital. Within two hours (and by the time Art arrived at the hospital) Deb was doing fine. She stayed at the hospital over night; brain scans and heart scans indicated no damage, not a stroke, but a TIA. We are thankful for God’s grace through this experience and for the prayers of family and friends.
We were able to return to Kentucky as planned on June 30th. July has included some extra medical appointments; Deb is on some adjusted medication and she is generally doing well.
Our bi-weekly Shabbat services have continued. Attendance is a bit lower because some students are away and travelling during the summer. Here are links to the two Shabbat messages for July:
Art is maintaining his study schedule as he will be teaching one Hebrew class at the seminary in the fall as well as taking two Ph.D. classes. Recently he taught a four-session basic Hebrew class at Beit Ohr Messianic Congregation in Lawrenceburg KY.
As we continue through the summer and approach the fall, we would like to share these four prayer requests:
• Health and healing for Deb, wisdom and guidance after the TIA event.
• Mental clarity and sufficient time for Art to prepare for the fall semester.
• Continued blessing and direction for our bi-weekly Shabbat celebration.
• Continued release of provision. Our budget during summer months is especially tight.
